Inside Out/Outside In - Dolls House Project

The lovely Dolls House Gallery was installed in Hand Held last weekend. Within it was installed the exhibition Inside out/Outside In - an exhibition that questions the notion of inside and outside as being mutually exclusive terms. As Dave Nolan explains in his catalogue essay, each artist approaches the exhibition premise in different ways - Heather Hesterman with her ' beguilingly simple representation of houses within houses', Raquel Osterman with her peek-a-boo tie, Secret Glimpse #1 which not only reflects inside and out but upside and underside, Rebecca Mayo's A Mile and a Half Deep which 'refers us to the complex tangle of past and present' and Richard Hardings The Cottage was at the End of a Tree Line Square which reflects on 'coded forms of communication and comportment'.

Dave's entire essay.

Yay you!

Pity I missed the chance to exhibit in my two fave Melbourne galleries at the same time...
