Chloe Vallances beautiful work is now on show here at Hand Held. This is a collection of the small works and highly detailed drawings we would expect to see from Chloe Vallance alongside more recent bolder, looser paintings. Chloe's work explores space, time and memory often by removing elements of a scene, a figure, an object. Figures are given their own space, time and simple landscape by reproducing them alone on various mediums, paper, card, paint swatches, timber.
“I want my work to be read together as a series of glimpsed moments in time. To draw or paint a passed moment can relay an unfixed reality, validate an experience, and allow you to feel closer to the people and places captured in that moment.”
